Criteria to compare

| Responsibility and staffing | Who handles strategy, calls, records, experts, negotiation, and court appearances | Communication and task ownership affect the working relationship. |
| Fees and costs | Contingency percentage, case expenses, liens, termination terms, and distribution process | The written agreement determines financial obligations. |
