Separate four questions after a crash
For a collision in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk or elsewhere in Virginia, separate traffic duties, civil fault, insurance coverage, and the court-filing deadline. A police conclusion and an insurer's percentage are evidence positions, not necessarily the final legal allocation.
Preserve scene and vehicle proof
- Original photos, video, dashcam, traffic-camera, and nearby business footage
- Vehicle data, damage, repair, tow, storage, inspection, and total-loss records
- Report number, officer information, witness contacts, and a location diagram
Build a coverage file
- Every declarations page and policy that may cover a driver, vehicle, household member, or employer
- Claim numbers, adjuster contacts, coverage letters, recorded-statement requests, and offers
- Health-plan, medical-payment, PIP, UM/UIM, lien, and reimbursement documents
